Our Founder Elias Mastoras

Elias Mastoras was the IBSA Blind Football Chairman 2021-2025. Elias was the Technical Director of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Football running the most successful ever edition in the Eiffel Tower Blind Football Stadium. He is an adults' educator and a youth trainer in the Erasmus+ Youth & European Solidarity Corps National Agencies of Greece and Cyprus. He is a FIDE Chess Trainer and a FIDE Master as a chess player. He was a Rio2016 Referee Coordinator and World Referee Coordinator 2013-2017, and a Referee of Gold Medal Match in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. He received the 1st place winning the annual EU Sport Award “Local Hero”; awarded as the annual “Emerging Global Leader” of the Tallberg Foundation – Stavros Niarchos Foundation; 1st place and current winner of the EU Be Inclusive awards in the category of the “Inspiring Change”.

He patented the unique light sound ball, which is available only for donation. In the first seven years of the #ABallforAll campaign, more than 32 000 mini blind footballs have been distributed in 215 countries and territories on 5 continents.
